    During the school holidays thousands of children will visit the Zoological Gardens, always a happy feature in the itinerary of the long vacation. The Observer photographer Went to this great domain recently and secured some new snapshots.:—1. View of the Gardens looking west from the Director's House, showing the spires of the Cathedral in the background. 2. The beautiful white swan. 3. The razor-billow Curassow. 4. The new reinforced cages, each having an open cage adjoining. These have been erected for Australian parrots and other birds, and are now scenes of dancing colour. 5. The Australian bustard, or wild turkey. 6. Like statues—the tall, slender grace of the flamingoes. 7. The snow geese. 8. All the way from Canada—a flock of geese. 9.
