This group of photographs depicts floods at the Cross roads—the boundary thoroughfare between Unley and Mitcham—after a normal fall of rain. The imperfect drainage of this semi-national highway, was recently the subject of a series of articles in The Register by Mr. W. H. Langham. The Government has since decided to place the road on the main-road schedule, and to effectively drain it, by carrying the Urrbrae flood waters underground to the Brown Hill Creek, Hawthorn. ...
