This picture was taken near the Australian Museum, at the corner of Park and College streets. Extensive areas in Hyde Park had been reserved for the 10,000 school children, who, it had been decided, should be given a clear view of the procession. This locality was also chosen by thousands of adults from which to view the inspiriting scene, and at times the tremendous pressure made it a difficult matter to keep order. Our photograph shows a number of Senior Cadets forming a chain with clasped hands, and stoutly resisting the pressure. Their work, in conjunction with others along the line, was admirably performed, and the order maintained throughout the whole line of march reflected credit on all concerned. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
