    CITY MOTORISTS MAY ENVY THE COMPETITORS IN THE ALPINE TEST their thrills and fast motoring through wonderful scenery, but they are apt to forget the other side of it. Bad roads, broken springs, shed tyres, and all the other ills that motorists are subject to, are making themselves felt on the long 1250 miles journey. This year's contest is proving a gruelling one, and many have fallen by the way.
