    A REMARKABLE PICTURE OF A RIFLEMAN IN ACTION ON THE WILLIAMSTOWN RANGE, where shooters from all parts of the Commonwealth have this week been competing for blue ribbon events in the rifle world. The marksman here depicted is Mr. W. Sproat, a member of the V.R.A. Council and of the Donald Club, who carried off the Rexonola match yith the full possible. His “spotting glass” has a history. It belonged to his grand-uncle, Captain Hugh Sproat, who commanded the Phoenician, the ship which took the first consignment of gold from Victoria to England in 1852. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
