The marksman here depicted is Mr. W. Sproat, a member of the V.R.A. Council and of the Donald Club, who carried off the Rexonola match yith the full possible. His “spotting glass” has a history. It belonged to his grand-uncle, Captain Hugh Sproat, who commanded the Phoenician, the ship which took the first consignment of gold from Victoria to England in 1852. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
