MEMORIAL TO JOHN RIDLEY

Speaking at the opening of the new
shdwrooms of H. V. McKay Ltd. ojn
Tuesday the Premier (Hon. R. L.
BulUer) said a memorial would aooa
be erected to John Ridley, the in
ventor of the stripper. It was pro
posed that it should take the form of
an agricultural school at the Waite
Research Institute. Budding opera
tions would be started inext year.
The Premier promised -that the Gov
ernment would do everything possible
