smash, the seat would have jrone auto
matically to her opponent, Mr. Percy
Retallack, ia Nationalist.
Miss Holman is deemed certain to
retain the seat for Labor, but her re
covery from the accident i.s likely to
take a long while. That will be a
blow to- the Labor Government, if re
turned, because Miss Holman was
popularly tipped as certain to receive
Ministerial "honors.
