BALLINA DIGGERS' HALL
At the last meetinc of the Ballina
branch of the Returned Soldiers'
League, the treasurer (Mr. W. Brice)
submitted the half yearly balance
sheet, showing the income and ex
penditure in connection with the
Diggers' Hall. This was considered
satisfactory. The gross income
amounted to £94, and the expenditure
to £58. The euchre tournaments re
turned the greatest revenue—£33 9e.
Mr. Brice also submitted a financial
statement ol receipts and expenditure
for the annual ball, which realised a
profit of £24. The total revenue
amounted to £53, and expenditure to
£29.
Mr. M. J. McRae (president) was
chairman, and others present were .
