SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
ADELAIDE, TUESDAY.
In the Assembly this afternoon the
Premier notified that next Thursday he
would seek, leave to introduce a bill establishing
household franchise for the Legislative
Council. Also a bill to provide for
further suppression of gambling.
Mr. Shannon asked whether the Government
intended to retain the services of Mr
Addison as chairman of the State Bank
trustees in face of evidence given in the'
Nixon case, The Premier said he would
consider the matter.
Replying to a further question, the Vic
mier said he had given the Secretary of
State to thoroughly understand that South,
Australia does not favour the suggested
exchange of Imperial and Colonial troops.
