J)URING THE YEAR
1896
We out up and made into our 12s. 6d. and
16s. Trouaers, and our 42«. and 50a Suits,
nearly 4,000 yards of Tasmanian made
Tweeds ¡ and we are able to say with trnth
that wo havn not heard even one complaint
of the quality or wear of theae splendid
goods. And we mean to ont up over 6,000
yards in 1807, for the publio throughout
Tasmania-North, South, East, and West
are through our constatent pushing of this
locally-made article gradually discovering
that it ia the beat to use, and are wearing it
as they should.
EDWARD MULCAHY.
ßUT THE PUBLIC
Ara also awakening to the faot that in pur-
chasing a Two Guinea Suit entirely of Tas-
manian promotion, in preference to one
made in Melbourne of Viotorlan , Tweed,
they are keeping Two Puuuds sod Two
Shillings of Tasmanian money in circulation
in this oolooy instead of sending the best
part of it away, and this means a great lot.
It mean« employment for weavers, engineers, J
tailors, tailoroeaes, shopmen, etc. ft needs J
no argument to prove this. It is self-evident. j
EDWARD MULCAHY.
^ND WHY CAN WE
Aot do we sell auoh splendid gooda at suah
very low ratest We CAN do so principally
because wo are satisfied with a small profit ;
because we sell for READY CASH and
make no toasts ; because wo ure able to go
to the Milts and buy large lines, having a
big outlet j and finally, because being deter-
mined to give Tasmanian Goods the pre-
ference, we mark than at specially low
prices. - *
EDWARD MULCAHY.
^\TE SELL CLOTHING
Men's, Boys', and Youths' Clothing is our
linaine«», and we stick closely to this and
buy it from the beat manufacturing firms in
the world, and we follow the times. The
tendeuoy of trade now is towards ft big
turnover with a small margin of profit, but
worked on ante lines. A business of £12,000
. year on a 10 percent, profit is better than
£6,000 a year ou 2u per cent., so we go in
for selling largely. If you come to us to
buy we will supply you, taken all round,
far more cheaply then any other bouse in
Tasmania ; but you must pay cash down.
EDWARD MULCAHY.
gO0 PAIRS MEN'S ,
VERY STRONG CORD
TROUSERS, 4/9.
These are' the goods for the Farmer, and
the Workman. They come from one of the
bett houses, In the world. The price is
phenomenally low, but the Goods are
Sound. They are so Cheap, bocanas they
.re bought well, and sold at a small, fair
profit. All our Working Trousers lu Moles,
Cords, and Tweeds are equally ohoap, both
in Men's and Boys' sizes.
