MONDAY.
The.Argus reports for the past week :-The
market for mining companies seems to have
-been independent of the financial depression, a
large extent of business having been transacted,
and some considerable advances in value
realesed. Improved extent of business has
taken place in Broken Hill silver companies.
The principal change in value has been in Block
10, whicbh, after some :flnotuations, close 9s over
opening price. Central Broken Hill have
followed suit, calosing at 7s 6d, or 4s4d over
opening price. Broken Hill Proprietary close
8s higher, and Brokcn Hill Extended, Junction
North, and South Broken have all realised
improved prices. Some little improvement has
also taken place in Tamanian silver com*
panies. Adelaide, Comet, and Maestri's all
selling higher, but with very limited actual
business. Mount Wills Proprietary (tin) sold
4d higher, but this includes call of 2d due on
Wednesday.' Other tn companies neglected.
