DR. J. COLLIS BROWNE'S CHLORODYNE
(Ex Army Med. Staff)
Is the Original and Only Genuine.
CAUTION.-Vice-Chancellor Sir W. P. Wood
stated that Dr. COLLIS BROWNE was undoubtedly
the inventor of CHLORODYNE; that the story of
the defendant Freeman being the inventor was
deliberately untrue, which he regretted had
been sworn to. Eminent Hospital Physicians
of London stated that Dr. J. Collis Browne
was the discoverer of Chlorodyne; that they
prescribe it largely, and mean no other than
Dr. Browne's See Times. July 12 1864.
The public, therefore, are cautioned against
using any other than
DR. J. COLLIS BROWNE'S CHLORODYNE.
REMEDIAL USES AND ACTION.
This invaluable remedy produces quiet re-
freshing sleep, relieves pain, calms the system,
restores the deranged functions, and stimulates
healthy action of the secretions of the body,
without creating any of those unpleasant re,
suits attending the use of opium. Old and
young may take it at all hours and times when
requisite. Thousands of persons testify to its
marvellous good effects and wonderful cures,
while medical men extol its virtues most extensively.
OHLORODYNB is admitted by the profes-
are to be the most wonderful and valuable
remedy ever discovered.
OHLORODYNB in the bear remedy known for
Coughs, Consumption, Bronchitis, Asthma.

M' PAUL bU CHAILLU, in his in
arresting book, The Land of the
Afternoon Sun, says -
My object in coming to Sams and was to visit
Herr McCarter Moller), a celebrated
manufacturer of Cod Liver Oil, which enjoys
such great and well deserved reputation in
the United States . . . Several men
were engaged in separating the good livers
from the bad all were fresh from fish
caught that day. The fat and healthy livers
were whitish while the diseased ones were
greenish, and the lean ones red I was sure
insect to see the number of diseased and
can livers The season for the best ones
would soon be over, and it happens that
the Cod arrive at Lofoten when their livers
are in the finest condition The men are
very particular in selecting the choicest
kinds After they had been assorted they
were put into a large tank, washed thoroughly
in warm water, and then placed over an
open were not to let the water drip away
I noticed that extreme care was taken in all
stages of the preparation of the Oil The
process has nothing of the rapid
siveness of the method by which brown oil
is usually made, namely, by letting the livers
rot, skimming the oil, and afterwards boil
ing it, Vol II, p 130
in THE BAD AND WORTHLESS are never
LL imitated or counterfeited. This is especially
true of a family medicine, and it is
positive proof that the remedy imitated is of
the highest value. As soon as it had been
tested and proved by the whole world that
Hop Bitters was the purest, best and most
valuable family medicine on earth, many
imitations sprang up and began to steal the
notices in which the Press and the people of
the country had expressed the merits of
H. B,, and in every way trying to induce
suffering invalids to use their stuff instead,
expecting to make money on the credit and
good name of H. B. Many others started
nostrums put up in similar style to H. B.
with variously devised names in which the
word " Hop" or " Hops" were used in a way
to induce people to believe they were the
same as Hop Bitters. All such pretended
remedies or cures, no matter what their
style or name is, and especially those with
the word "Hop" or "Hops" in their name
or in any way connected with them or their
name, are imitations or counterfeits. Beware
of them. Touch none of them. Use
nothing but genuine American Hop Bitters,
with a bunch or cluster of green Hops on the
white label, and Dr. Soule's name blown in
the glass. Trust nothing else. Druggists
and Chemists are warned against dealing in
imitations or counterfeits

CAUTION TO PURCHASERS.
The value of this well-known Family Medicine
has been largely tested in all parts of the

has induced SPURIOUS IMITATIONS, some

purchasers. The proprietor therefore feels it
due to the public to give a special caution
against the use of such imitations.

sties, without which none are genuine!

" I am thankful to Providence for the
wonderful cure your Blood Mixture has effected
on me. I was surprised after taking half the
first bottle how well I felt; and after I had
taken one large bottle the wounds on my legs
healed, I only wish I had tried the Mixture
before. I should- have saved five years of continued
suffering. I used to feel all the changes
of the atmosphere in my bones, but that
entirely gone in fact, I feel like a new man.
I began to think I then Id never get well, for
had attended St. Mary's Hospital and Welbeck
street Dispensary, under Dr. Norman, Sr;
Adam Clark, Dr, Allchin, Head Prryiic!an~to
Westminster Hospital, and several eminent
doctors. My suffering was simply horrible,
and I have many times wished myself dead.
After taking the mixture for ten days people
that knew me were astonished at my appearance.
I have taken just two 119. bottles
of your Blood Mixture, and they have effected
this wonderful cure.
" All I can say to those who suffer is try it,'
it will recommend itself.
