COUNTRY STOCK SALES.
A fair yarding of cattle came forward for
the Echuca sales..011 Saturday. The attend
ance of buyers was an average one, and for
faU the market was about equal io late rate?.
No alteration in prices for store? can be quoted.
Quotations:—Fat cows. good. £8/1/: do., infe
rior. £4/12/6; fat bullocks, light. £6/18/6 to
£7/4/: fat steers, £6/9/: fat hoiiors, iiijlZ/ to
£5/11/: store steer*, £2/16/6; store heifers, £2/
II; yearlings, £1/12/6: calves. £1/1/6. Sheep.
—A good yarding of sheep: all fit for trade re
quirements. CVuipeiitioa was wrll sustained,
though prices showed no .material alteration.
Quotations:—Crossbred wether?, prime, 16/3:
do., good, 13/: merino wethers. 12/; C'.os.-bred
ewes, 11/ to 14/: crossbred lambs. prime,
heavy, 12/1 to 14;': do., good to prime, 3/ io
lO/'S: merino ewes, prime. 11/. Pigs.—A fair
number penned, for which prices 'were good,
and every lot sold satisfactorily. Quotations:
