THE Government, being desirous of affording
' facilities to the Public for acquiring VIC
TORIAN RAILWAY DEBENTURES of -the
Colonial Issue, is making arrangements under which.'
persons desirous to invest any sum notless;than £10
may apply for its equivalent in Debentures, of £50,
£25, £10 denomination, upon paying a premium of
four pounds per centum, and. the proportion of in
terest, if any, which may have accrued at the time
of purchase.
The Sub-Treasuries throughout the colony will be
furnished with Debentures, which will be, therefore,
obtainable on the spot, immediately upon application,'
provided that the amount applied for be not in excess
of that allotted to the district; and every information
to the nature and value of the stock will be
afforded to persons requiring it by the Receivers and
Paymasters in each locality.
Re-i»sue of Debentures will, under this arrange
ment, be limited to £100,000, and the rate of pre
mium will be subject to such alterations ai may be
rendered necessary by changes in the value of the
stock ; due notice of which will be given from time
to time.
Application may be made as above described, on
and after the 21st November proximo.
