Antarctic Disaster.
PROVIDING FOR LADY SCOTT
AND RELATIVES OF THOSE KILLED
THE TERRA NOVA.

The Prime Minister m tne uouse oi
Commons to-day asked Parliament firstly
for an annuity of £200 (apart from the
Admiralty's grant) fo rLady Scott, and
annuity of £25 for Peter Scott until he
is eighteen, and then an annuity of £100
He asked for Captain Scott's mother
and sisters a- joint annuity of £300, for
Wilson's widow and sister-in-law a ioint
annuity of £300, and for PettyOfficei
Evans' widow (apart from the Admiral
ty's 13s 6d per week), 12s 6d per. week
and 3s per wek for each child until
eighteen years of age.
It announced the Government of India
will provide for Bowots' relatives in a
joint pension of £100. ,
The Terra Nova, the ship in which the
Antarctic expedition sailed, has arrived
at Rio de Janerio from New Zealand.
