The Federal Government
had yet to decide on ten
ancy of the lower floors of
Airways House.
This was revealed in a letter
to Member for Perth T. P.
Burke from Interior Depart
ment Under-Secretary L. W.
Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton said that the
possible use of the lower
floors by th-s PMG and other
Commonwealth departments
was still being investigated.
He added that subject to
Government requirements, a
request by present tenants for
a two years' extension of ten
ancy would receive every con
sideration.
His letter followed a deputa
tion to Mr. Burke and Fre
mantle Member K. Beazley,
from the 18 tenants of tho
building.
