supplied a new coupling that
was entirely unnecessary, and
charged him £4 for it,
The old coupling was per
fectly good and the foreman's
claim that it had 'fallen to
pieces in his hands' Was ridi
culous.
The brake was unworkable
despite the repairs, he said.
Clerk Edward Frank Hurst,
of Atlas Engineering Co.. said
that While had taken the brake
to them in December last year,
and the first indication that
they had' that he was not satis
fied with the work was a letter
received in February.
He had not taken the brake
back to show them what was
wrong.
'I suggest you do so and see
if you can fix up the difficulty
between yourselves.' said the
Magistrate. He adjourned the
case sine die.
