£3000 Winner To Give
Orphans. 'A Day Out
A day out for the orphans was the first thought of the
winner of the £3000 first prize in today's lottery, Mrs. C. G.
Cosson, of 16 Waroonga-rd., Nedlands (left).'''
'I would like to hire a bus and really see them have the
lime of their lives,' Mrs. Cosson said.
Because she would be able to take only a few of the many
orphans in WA, Mrs. Cosson wants to make sure that they
will be the poorest ones.
The mother of two sons— Peter 15 and David 13 — Mrs. Cos
son has always wanted to do something for children less
fortunate than her own.
Mr. Cosson, who has been & male nurse at the Claremont
Mental Hospital for 20 years, would, like to send the boys
to a public school. At present they are at Claremont High
School where they are senior and junior swimming cham
pions.
Though both she and her nusband have been taking tickets
for years, today's winner has never had any luck before. She
bought the ticket — No. 74398-r-on Tuesday. It was the last,
one in the book.
