BUSINESS , IMPROVEMENT
Perth Man's. Impressions ?
That business in Melbourne was im
proving, but that Adelaide was still- more
cr less in the throes of depression, is the
opinion of Mr. W. R. Campbell, director
of Robertson Bros., estate agents, who
returned to Perth today from the East.
ern States.
Mr. Campbell visited Melbourne and
Adelaide about twelve months ago, and
hence on his more recent visit he. was
able to contrast the atmosphere /prevail
ing in business circles in the fcwo'cejitres.
The general tone of business in Mel
bourne was improved, and prospects gen
erally were decidedly better than they
were twelve months ago. Several impor
tant sales of properties had recently been
effected, the prices pa*d being, in the cir
cumstances, quite fair. On the other
hand, Adelaide possessed far from a
cheerful outlook, arid business generally
was still depressed.
As president of the Royal Automobile
Club of W.A. Mr. Campbell visited Mel
bourne in order to represent his organi
sation at the annual conference of, the
Australian Automobile Association.
