Boy Lands
Kingfish
In Week

15-year-old Fred Bing last §
Monday after he had I
caught a 401b. river king- i
fish at East Perth near the I
Trotting Ground. I
His confidence was justi
fied, for today he brought
news of a bigger and bet
ter catch — two this time.
One; of them was 45
inches long, three inches
longer than the one caught
last Monday. The other
was slightly smaller.
~ Fred has caught all three at /
exactly the same spot — the foot
of Scotsman's Hill, Nile-street,
East Pertft.
He caught the ...bigger fish
early yesterday morning, the
other late last night.
Fred has decided that both
are going the same way as his
original catch — to the markets.
News of the landing of an
other good kingfish comes from
Rockingham. Mr. H. Keys was
fishing off the jetty when he
hooked the fish.
It was landed with difficulty
before an excited crowd of spec
tators and enthusiasts.
It turned the scales at 421b.
