As a result of mishaps in the jumping

and pulled up lame. Grey Label hur

of his rider in front of the stands, and,
although lie worked on the tracks yes

Good Season Anticipated
Judging by the number of newcomers
who are 'taking an interest in the sport,
the racing side of the W.A. Hunt Club's
approaching season is going to be popu
lar. Already several well known Perth
men have either purchased or leased
horses with a view to hunting and rac-j
ing, and one or two are getting into
shape, riding their mounts on the train
ing trapks.
Apprentices
The apprentice, G. Colton, has been
granted a conditional jockey's licence and
has been transferred from J. Hunt to C.
Rule at Kalgoorlie. The indentures of
B. T. McNally, who has been appren
ticed to T. Hickey, and of W'. A. 'Young
to J. J. O'Hara, ihave been approved.

The following scratchings were re
corded yesterday for the main events at
the A.J.C. autumn carnival.
