The Futurity Stakes organised hf

noon at Caulfield. Bobadil repre
senting Mr. W. R. Wilson waa
favorite last night.
The settling in connection with
the Albany meeting will take place
to-day. Shaw, who quite scooped
the pool at the seaside, will probably
win a few races at Katauning on
the way back.
Lucky Dog, who has shown tre
mendous form in New South
Wales, is on the way to the colony.
It is stated that ' Tom' Pay ten
has leased the colt.
A futile effort was made on
Thursday by several Melbourne
bookmakers to purchase Amiable,
the Newmarket Handicap favorite,
for .£2.000. Fielder wanted in ad
dition half the stakes and some of
the stable money to nothing. This
stopped negotiations. . .
The three largest winners of
stakes in Australia for the half
year ending on January 81 were
Messrs. Forrester, Duggan, and W.
