Beocli Warning
Already our sea beaches have pro
vided a pre-seasonal reminder
that an element of danger enters
into enjoyment of their pleasures
if reasonable caution is not exer
cised by bathers.
The bright sunshine of the week
end induced quite a number of
people to take a dip in the briny,
and in a couple of instances res
cue efforts had to be brought into
operation. This fact should afford
a timely warning signal for en
thusiasts who will flock to the
beaches as the really warm wea
ther develops.
Certain beaches, which possess spe
cial, attributes that make them
singularly suitable for surfing,
have also their obvious dangers.
To combat these the local autho
rities take all possible measures
to make it clear to bathers
exactly where the dangers lie, and
if reasonable notice is taken of
the official indications there
should be no occasion for difficul
ties.
