districts of the city and the bombing
was concentrated in this important
area. ,
Fires here and in the railway yards
were still burning when photographs
were taken two days later.
'Publication of these photographs
provides a striking refutation of the
recent Nazi broadcasts belittling the
damage to Nuremberg,' says the ser

branch of the great Diesel firm whose
main works were so successfully at
tacked in Augsburg.
'First analysis of the photo
graphs shows that two shops in
these works were largely destroy

'Main shop at Siemen's has been
burnt out and was still smoking when
reconnaissance aircraft arrived over
the city.
'Seven more shops were hit and
some workers' huts destroyed.
'Among other factories damaged
were aluminium works in Nurem

aircraft components, chemical works,
and four engineering works).
'A great deal of railway property
has been damaged.
'Nuremberg is a traffic centre of
first-class importance and a junction
which radiates to all parts of Ger

'System includes highly vulnerable
electric lines from Munich to Cen

'Photographs show that the main
repairs shop in the railway marshal
