TASMANIA.
The Hobart Town Telegraph of September 11, reports
as follows with reference to the local markets :
During the week business has been uncommonly dull. Few
sales have been effected in colonial produce. Wheat may be
quoted at 8s to 8s 3d and potatoes at from £7 to £7 15s per
ton. The timber trade is very slack, and a fall has taken place
in the price.
The Courier furnishes the following quotations :
Mr. Walker's mill ; fine flour (colonial wheat) £18 to £20 ;
wheat, 7s 9d to 8s ; English barley, 8s to 8s 6d ; bran, 2s 3d to
2s 6d; sharps, £12.
