hold their anniversary services on Sun
day, July 28, when the Rev. A. S. Wil
son preaches in the morning, and Rev.
F. W: BuTridg© in the evening, to be
followed by. tea and public meeting on

T.lre Rev. A. S. Wilson writes:— 'The
?Rev. Waiter F. White, a former' mem
ber and Christian worker of our church
at Museum-street, has lately offered
for service tn the; Indian Mission field,
amd particulaidy in Goalundo, 'the dis
trict in Eastern Bengal,, with a popula
tion of 350,000, which has been chosen
for evangelisation by the W.A. Bap
tists. As1 far as I know, trils multitude
of people have no other workers but
the agents of .Bhe Bapist Union, the
Misses. Grace Brown and Edith Kins,
wKh the native helpers. Mr. White is
a young roan of good promise, who re
linquished work In the telegraph ser
vice of Western Australia in 1903 to
become a home missionary and student
under the Baptist Union. He com
menced operations Em the Smith's MiH
'Bellevue district, . being much helped
in tlhe initial stages by Mr. H. A.
Schneider, the founder of *he work in
that district. After most successful
servBce, Mr. Whtte left for Harley Col
lege, London, to complete his theo
logical course. It was only to be ex
pected, and we should gneaitly rejoice
at it, ithstt association with men, going
to the ends of the earth in the. name of
the Great Master, should lhave a widen
ing, enlarging effect upon our W.A. stu

largest missionary institutions in the
world. At $his stage of our missionary

grasp, organising faculty, -and spiritual
gifts, - lays . upon . the denomination a
great responsibility* It us said. that to
send. a third! missionary so quickly is
unprecedented. In' .the 'record of,, the
Baptists of the- other States. 5 But so,
also is probably the fact that for eig-ht'
years the Baptfets of this State 'have'
erected a building, either ' a . church,
?manse, or hall, at.theiira.te of one for
every, .three months; ' -It will' never do
for the Baptists of W.A. to' make ex
cuses for lack of intensity. -It' will',
never do for us to take an'exampleless'
than ttie Acts of the Apostles.'
