Parana. — Miss Ruth Flavel. who Is on the
nursing staff of the Naracoorte Hospital, is
spending her vacation with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. George Flavel. — Miss Hastwell, of the
Adelaide Telephone Exchange, has been the
guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Steike. — Mr. C. G.
Petch is on holiday at Noarlunga where he Is
the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Haines. —
Mr. Burton Thome is on holiday in Adelaide.
He will take part in the country cricket car
nival. — Mrs. W. E. Arthur has returned to
Parana after a holiday of several weeks. —
Air. Ralph Arthur has returned after doing the
Gulf trip. — Miss Dalna Lamshed, of Paruna
North, recently visited her mother. Mrs. Lam
shed, of Dnley. — Mr. F. H. champion spent a
week-end at Murray Bridge. — Mr Eric M Ed
wards is visiting Adelaide.
Snowtown. — Mrs. Ralph Grigg has returned
to Snowtown after a week at Cowell. — Mrs. A.
Fryar and her daughter Shirley are on holi
day at Moonla Bay. — Mrs. A. R. Bleske visited
Adelaide. Mrs. o. Beckman is spending a
holiday with Miss E. Growden at Gladstone. —
Sister Kenihan, matron of the Yorketown Hos
pital, is on a visit to Mr. Kenihan. — Mrs. A.
Andrews, with Misses Beth and Rosemary
Andrews, is visiting Glenelg. — Miss Teresa
Sclanders has returned from Cowell. where
she was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. N. Hawkins
and Miss Eath Hawkins. — A house-warming
party was given to Mr. and Mrs. J. Coffey,
who were recently married. Mr. R. J. Cum
mins offered congratulations to them. Mr. J.
McAvaney also spoke. — A farewell social was
tendered to Mrs. B. w. Thomas in the Metho
dist Guild Hall. Mrs. G. B. Stribley welcomed
the guest. A programme was given by Mes
dames A. R. Bieskc. B. Thomas. T. N. Jenkins
E. Windbam, W. T. Pellew. and Miss Laurel
Hancock, competitions were won by Mrs T.
E. Jenkins and Miss L. Work. Speakers repre
sented the C-W.A. -Mrs. Bleske I, Agricultural
Bureau (Mrs. P. H. Wheatonl. Methodist
Ladies' Guild (Mrs. A. V. Walkington), Band
of Hope (Mrs. D. A. Nottle), and the town
and district (Rev. G. B. Stribley). Mrs. strib
ley presented Mrs. Thomas with a pottery vase.
Laurel Hancock gave the guest a posy. — Mr.
A. J. Altmann Is on holiday In Melbourne. —
Mrs. H. Woodhouse. who has been the guest
of Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Jenkins, has returned
