Games Reviewed
Grange surprised the undefeated Uni
versity team when it won after a strenuous
game. Prom the first ouUy University at
tacked, and J. Allen gained control fol
lowing a good run through, and scored.
The first goal for the home team was
scored by Lucas. The play continued las-,
until half time. Grange played tbe better
game after the interval, and University
were affected by playing one man short
and having several recruits in the £de.
Grange took the lead when H. KeUey. with
the assistance of Lucas, took full advan
tage of an opportunity. Ten minutes
later the same player scored tbe winning
goal. University tried hard to equalise,
but was unlucky. The Kelley-Lucas com
bination in the forward lines of Grange
was too strong for tbe opposing bocts
Harrison registered the second an-i last
score for the students. Throusliout lite
second half Grange was too fast on the
ball for Its opponents. The outstanding
man on the field was J. Allen.

Shell And Centaurs Draw
One of the fastest and hardest games
for the day was that between Shell aad
Centaurs, at Urrbrae. Neither team could
take control of the ball in the first half.
After the resumption. Shell broke through
and Thomas was given a chance, of which
he took full advantage. Soon after J. G
Oavles secured the ball from a scrimmage
and passed to Phlpps. who equalised the
scores. Prom then on the back lines
prevented further scores. R. B. P. Bar
bour (Centaurs) again took the field with
Vils left arm In a sling. He played in
goals, and. although handicapped, did well
and saved many times. A solid game for
the Walte Institute team was played by
Ball at centre half. Weir was pro
minent for Shell. Goalhltters: — Shell —

Wanderers' Lucky Win
Fast play, clever shots, and an exciting
finish were the features of the match
between Forestvllle and Wanderers. Within
a few seconds of the whistle the game
was in a balance. After unsuccessful at
tacks, McDonald gave Nadlg a chance to
score. ForestvUle played & forceful gnme
and Wanderers were solid. Despite maav
attempts. ForestvCe was unable to score
before half-time.
After tbe Interval fast play continued.
After a good run through. Wanderers'
second goal came from Henley. Forest
vllle continued to attack, and. rescuing
tbe ball from a scrimmage. L. Menz
snapped « goal. Svmons was awarded a
free near the circle for dangerous play
by a Wanderer, and scared a goal, mak
ing the totals equal. A few seconds be
fore time Hauser ran down to receive
the ball, rfaii-ipri through with It, and
scored the winning goal from an angle
shot. Nadlg and Hauser were outstand
ing for the winners. The goalies of both
teams stopped well. They were ably as
sisted by their full bacioi. Ftor Porest
vllle, excellent work was done by
L. Menz and G. Bice, inside and outside
rights respectively B. Owens was solid.

Kenwood Defeat Blackwood
Kenwood showed some of last year's
form In beating Blacksrood. Tbe game
was fast, but Kenwood showed more co
hesion. Porter goaled twice soon aite'
the first bully. Blackwood did not score
In the first half. Palrley scored Black
wood's only goal. It was Immediately
followed by at. attack in which Lecher
goaled for Kenwood Every section of
tbe winning team did well. H. Mount,
goalie for Blackwood, played consistently.

B Grade
There were only two games iu B Grade.
University forfeited to Centaurs because
it was impossible to field a team owing
to the vacation. An easy win was gained
by Forastville Ijocals over Adelaide. Goal

C. Lister (2). H. E. Cowham (1). Ade
laide — W. Walker -1).
In the other match, Parkslde beat Ken
wood. The play was fast and even at
times. Symons. at centre-forward played
tbe best game for the winners, and Mor
phett was prominent In attack. The
match was played en the Shell groueds.
The first half was played on No. 1 ground,
and the last on tbe No. 2 ground, which
was rough. Love played solidly for the
losers. Goalhitters: — Parkslde — Morphett

wood — Trevorrow (1) and Love (1).
C Grade
Porestvllle forfeited to University in C
Grade, leaving only two games to be
played. Wanderers defeated «=hell. Goal

The excellent combination of tbe West
boume Park forwards was too good for
