LICENSED SURVEYORS.
His Excellency the Governor directs it to
be notified, with reference to the notice from
the Colonial Secretary's Office, of the 20th
March, 1848, respecting licensed surveyors,
that Mr. Henry Carmichael has been ap-
pointed to the office of licensed surveyor for
the counties of Gloucester, Durham, and
Brisbane, in the room of Mr. Major Edward
Lewis Burrowes.
CONDITIONAL PARDONS.
His Excellency the Governor directs it to
be notified that her Majesty has been graci-
ously pleased to authorise the issue, in con-
formity with tbe provisions of the Act of
Parliament 6th Vict., cap. 7, of pardons to
the undermentioned persons, on condition
that, during the remainder of the term of their
respective sentences, they do not return to the
countries or colonies from which they were re-
spectively transported, as hereunder were
particularly specified.
Pardons available everywhere save in the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Ireland.
