MELBOURNE, Tuesday. - Trading
in grain continues ciuiet; wheat is with
out support, but sellers are steady. De
mands, for oats and barley aro' slow.
Straw and chaff are quietly steady.
Potatoes aro unchanged. Sales of
onions are slow. Wheat, buyers and sel
lers indifferent, nominal, 4/4*. Flour,
£11. Bran, £6/5/. Pollard, £6/15/. Oats,
I milling 3/2, feed 2/10 to 3/. Barley,
English 3/8 to 3/10, Capo 3/ to 3/1.
Maize, 5/9. Chaff. £4/15/ to £5. Straw,
oaten 50/ to 52/6, wheaten and barley
each 50/. Potatoes, Westorn District
Carmens £4 to £4/10/, Up-to-Datcs £4/
15/ to £5; Gippsland Carmen, £4/10/ to
£5. Onions, slow, £2/10/ to £2/15/.
I Eggs slow, £2/10/ to £2/15/. Eggs, best
hen 1/6, medium 1/4; seconds, 1/2; duck
1/4, medium 1/2.
FRUIT.
The demand for fruit in general was
slow to-day. Quotations: Apples, eating,
3/6 to 7/6 (a few special lines higher).
Lemons, 6/ to 13/. Grapes, 6/ to 13/ (a
few higher). Raspberries, 7/ to 9/
dozen punnets. Strawberries, 8/«to 12/
dozen punnets. Nectarines, 7/ to 10/ (a
few higher). Penches, 4/ to 6/ (a few
higher). Pears, 3/ to 4/6.
