Spencer Hospital
Appeal
To tho Editor.
Sir,-For many years now wo have
made an annual appeal for our hospi
tal, and although' nt tho present tinto
people are being unlled upon 'to give
and to givo again to patriotic causes,
nevertheless wo cannot nfford to neg
lect the work in our midst, especially
such a cause as that of hospitals.
For 3'cars now the Table Cape muni
cipality has raised £250 in two months
for the appeal, and although this total
may not bo reached this year, never
theless I send forth tho appeal once
again. I am confident most people
will .stand by mc, in spite of Mr. Hit
ler.
We have far greater expenses and
needs in the new hospital, and there is
certain necessary equipment needed
that the Government is not now in a
position to supply. The hospital con
tinues its good work in giving relief and
help to stricken men, women and child
ren, and no sacrifice is really too great
to help such work when the call comes,
as it will shortly. Will all stand by
Yours etc.,
J. W. BETHUNE.
