NOTICE.
To the Ratepayers of the
City of Perth.
Citj Council, 1863.
AT a General Meeting of the Rate
payers held (in accordance with the
previsions of the Perth City Improvement
Ordinance, 22nd of Viet., No. 10,) in the
Hall of the Mechanics' Instute, on Monday,
December 4th, 1863/ a Rate of 2& per
cent, was declared for the TEAR 1.864k,
and the estimates submitted, approved^ and
passed, upon the understanding that no
other rate would be levied during the
year 1864.
The Chairman of the City Council
having (without the sanction of the Bate
payers) levied another rate of 2? per cent.,
I, as Chairman of the above Meeting, pro
test against it, and request the Ratepayers
to call on the Chairman to convene a
Public Meeting to consider the same.
