MISCELLANEOUS.
The Lizzie Webber for Sydney.— This brig was
towed down tho river by the Tamar on Thursday,
and to sea yesterday morning.
The Opposilim Steamers. — The Marion is to sail
to-day for Melbourne, in opposition to the Laun
ceston Steam Navigaliou Company's vessels.
Tho Ant from Ho'.iart Town, via Falmoulh and
the East Coast, is also to enil from this port for
Melbourne, ou or about Wednesday next.
The Halcyon.— The brig Halcyon from Batavia,
commanded by Capt. Smart, formerly Chief
Officer of the Black Swan, entered the heads
yesterday.
The Helen Stewart.— ilr . Edwards has succeeded
in getting a largo quantity of valuable cargo out
of this vessel, constating of upwards of CO casks of
beef and pork, caslu of salmon and ale, with a
number of anvils, anchors, casks of shot, and
packages of general ironmongery. A number of
men arc at work endeavouring to stop the leak,
but owing to tho Ircsh in thu river caused by the
late hcavv rains, they are nuch obstructed in
this work.*
The Ocean Monarch, emigrant ship, which ar
rived at the Heads yesterday, has been placed in
quarantine. It is reported that cholera was
raging at Rio do Janeiro during the whole time
that this ship was detained at that port for repairs ;
and that several deaths have occurred on the voyage
