QQWJ QJRCIULAR,
The news frora oar Northern diggings has always heep more
or tess oqnflioting ¡ this week it, is remarkably so, for while on
the one hand we are told that the Chinamen, who we know ure
not shy of labour, are leaving the Hooky diggings, saying they are
" too much work," we have on the other hand ah amount of gold
brought down thence by this week's escort larger than ever. It
must be kept in mind that the Northern diggings are yet but in
their infancy, and tho futuro may developo a superior and more
profitable mode of working them.
