INSURING SOLDIEBS.
Mr. V. C. Bhinden has initiated a com
prehensive . movement whereby voluntary
enlistments ' will be considerably aided.
He has divided the City of Unley into
areas with the object of ascertaining ex
actty w'.here the' eligible men are- Each
?of these men will be . interviewed, and
great inducements wiM be held out for
enlistment. It is suggested, that citizens
who cannot fight should band together in
companies to guarantee Mfe insurance
mortgages and monetary obstacles being
overcome. The who'e effort will be
totally voluntary, and thoroughness wiH
be the keynote to tiie ''whole business.
It is hoped by offering substantial help to'
cjjgdbles who 'arc hampered by difficulties
that the Csfcy of Unftey will be able to
produce at -least its weekly quota of re
cruits,, fcesides accompSshsng other im
jwrtant patriotic work. Copt. Bowers, of
the State Recruiting Committee, tt^ien
questioned about the scheme, ' said he
hoped for extensive resirHfi, and expressed
a hope that other municipalities would
not be stow to follow *he example set by
Unley. A mass meeting to dnscnss tiie
whole issue will be held at the Unley
Town Hall on the sight of Wednesday
