The premiers were playing with r«

came into possession and delight«
with full points from an extreme
acute angle. Taking their reception ¡
an indication the umpire was not e:

share of the play at the pivot, led w<
into his forwards, but they were ui
responsive and Benton got the bi
away; their addiction ro the shoi
finnicky pass when the long kick w;

tunitíes that should have proved
fruitful. Edmondson and Rainold!
flashed the ball along the stand wing
and O'Reilly got his third major for
the quarter; his presence in the for-
ward area had an invigorating effect
on West, who began to feel pleased
with themselves when the long fellow
again kicked true. South were not now
so effective and for the moment were
being overcome in practically all de-
partments Their only goal for the
quarter came from Whitmore, but it
was balanced by O'Reilly, who was
pulled down directly in front. The car-
dinals had made an excellent recovery.
