The river was <en fete yesterday af-
ternoon when a combined regatta was
held to .assist in-the praising of -funds
to re-build; .the Perth '^Dinghy ~Club's
shed, decently, destroyed'' by. fire. . The
programme »was a diversified one, made
np of yacht racine", motor boat racing, :
and rowing. The starting apd finish-
ing -point was at Crawley., where, in ad-
dition to the official steamer the Perth,
laden with sightseers, nvniperless well
filled craft floated about. The 'various

over.different courses, which precluded:
the possibility of th© steamer, following ¡
the race 'as is 'customary. ' spectators,
however, had a good,- view- of both.the
