HARBOUK ACCOMMODATION.
To tlie Editor.
Sir— I regret' exceedingly to read by vqu't
shipping reporter in 'The Register' on
Monday that my friend Sir .lenkin Cole?,
the popular Speaker of the Assembly, was
injured in cnaeavounug to uoarti uiu
India to welcome his brother, who was a
passenger. As your shipping reporter i=ays,
Sir Jcnkin 'wished to goodness the Par
liamentary party had a gale on their recent
visit to the proposed site, which would im
press them with the necessity of liettei'
harbour accommodation.' Perhaps if .Sir
Jenkin had been permanently injured our
Parliament would have done something this
session. A basin inside the site of the old
lighthouse for ships to unload their cargo,
and for the convenience of passengers, is
all that is required. An ounce of facts such
as liie above is equal to u, bushel of theories.
I am, Sir, &c,
CHAS. M. MUIRHEAD.
