League Football
New Bay Men
Impress Selectors
Glenelg selectors were impressed by
several newcomers who took part in
today's trial match. Outstanding
among the recruits was McFarlane,
wno piayea witn wooaville in tne
amateur league last year. He gave a
great display at .half-back, putting
dash into his. ground play and kicking
strongly.
Two former Broken Hill men. House
and Griffiths, were also conspicuous.
House shaped prominently in front of
goal, and he may be the full forward
for whom Glenelg has been looking.
Griffiths gave a dashing display at
centre.
Congdon, former Loxton half-back
defended well. Westley. from Strath
albyn, roved strongly.
From last year's stars none showed
out more than Brock, 1940 Magarey
medalist, and Marcus BoyalL Other
regular players who showed form
were Goodwin, Keane, and Hunt
