SINGULAR ACCIDENT IN SYDNEY.
Sydney, August 21.
Charles Swadling, a carter, aged
seventeen years, met with a serious
Accident at Guy's Wharf, Pyrmont, this
morning. With his brother, Cornelius
Swadling, and another man he was carry-
ing a large piece of timber into a sawmill,
the two brothers being on each side of
the rear end. Charles tripped and fell,
and his brother not being able to hold on,
the timber slipped off his shoulder, and
crashed into his brother's head, driving
his face into the earth. He was taken
to the Sydney Hospital, where he died
shortly after admission.
