The ten Unionists who were found
guarding the Salisbury men at Koorning
berry Mountain were brought before the
Mainland Police Ma'jistnte At Mibarinka
Court yesterday. TI10 men wero charged
under section 01 of tho Criminal Law
Amendment Ac^ which empowers a
Court of Petty Sessions *.o deal sum
marily with cuo.i of intimidation or
obstructing workmen. Voluminous evi
dence was takon. tho hearing of the c»ses
lasting all day. The prisoners were found
guilty and scntoncsd to fix mouths with
hard labour at tho Wilcauuia Gaol.
The roll was called at Menamurtie on
the 2nd inst., when sixty men were
present. Forty were required to fill the
board. The men refused to sign, and all
walked into Wilsannia and joined the
Union camp.

free labourers from town.

The roll was called to-dty at Wan
gorah and on the Ynnya Holding, Bal
ranald, yesterday, but the men refused
to sign, and intend to form n camp.

A Goodooga telegram states that shear
ing matters are in a bid state. Several
small sheds not in the Pastoraliats'
Union have started under the conference
agreement.
Messrs. Willop & Coburg, who are in
tho Union, have also - started Curra
willinghi under the conference agree
ment.
Local men hare refused to shear under
the new agreement at Dumblc, Muck
tiawa, and Weilinoringh.
Nine men arrived at Toulby on Thurs
day, escorted by ten police. About
sixty Unionists met them and took
possession of the huts near the shed.
The polico had to lodge the men in the
woolshed and then turn the Unionists
out of the huts.
Shearing is now progressing at Moreton
Plains with a few men, also under police
protection.
