LAUNCESTON HARRIERS
Weather conditions caused the post
poncment of the first Launceston
Ia4rrier Club race of the season. It
'has been decided to hold this race, a
75' yards, handicap, and the shot put,
on Monday next at 6.15 p.m. As the
heats will be drawn on the ground
runners are asked to attend early so
that a prompt start may be made.

Athletic Club (1. Luck, E. Barrett, L.
Scott, A. Nunn), 16th Battery, A.F.A.
('R. R. White, A. G. Mlunting, F. J.
C. White, P. D. McCord).
On the Monday .following these
events a 100 yards handicap and a
javelin throw will be held at the Cric
ket Ground. Entries will close on
Friday with the secretary, and theo
handicaps will appear in the "Satur
day Evening Express."
NEWSTEAD AMATEURS
Fixtures are:-Nov. 13--100 yards
handicap; Nov. 20, 120 yards handi
cap; Nov. 27, 120 yards handicap. The
Newstead Amateur Athletic Club open
ing event was postponed last Tuesday
evening and again on Wednesday
owing to the unfavourablo weather.
The committee has decided to open
the season next Tuesday evening at
the Cricket Ground at 6.15 sharp. The
race will be a start for the Consistency
trophy, donated by SMr. H. C. Barnard,
M.IH.R. Points will be allotted as fol.
lows:-Three for a win, two for sec
ond, one for third, and one for a start.
There will also be one point for full
uniform. The uniform is a yellow
jacket, trimmed with black; black
shorts, trimmed with yellow. Handi
