The scheme and the proposals
for the acquisition of the land
were passed without discussion.
The council had agreed to a
long-range plan for a north

Speaking on the adjournment
Df the council, he said that the
small traffic island between the
School of Mines and the Royal
Adelaide Hospital was inade
quate.
What was wanted was a large
triangular island, with the apex
towards Frome road, to act as
a safety zone for aged and in
firm people going to and from
the hospital, and alslo effectively
to split trafnffic into two
