BIRTHS, MARRIAGES, AND DEATHS.
Announcements under this heading must be au-
thenticated by the name and address of the sen-
der, and are inserted in "The Advertiser,"
"The Express," and "The Chronicle," and a single
charge of Two Shillings and Sixpence each
when not exceeding five lines; over five lines
Sixpence per line.
BIRTHS.
POPHAM.—On the 9th December, at Gawler, the
wife of F W. Home Popham, L.H.C.P., M.R.C.S.,
&c.—a daughter.
MARRIAGES.
HODGE—MILDRED.—On the 2nd December, at
St. Peter's College Chapel, by the Rev. Percy W.
Wise, M.A., Frank William, eldest son of the late
F. D. Hodge, of Medindie, to Laura Edith, second
daughter of the late Hiram Mildred, of North Ade-
laide.
FOALE—JAGOE.—On the 6th October, at the
residence of the bride's mother, Parkside, by the
Rev. W. H. Rofe, Stanley A., eldest son of the
late Thos. Foale, or Malvern, to May, youngest
daughter of the late Graham Jagoe, of Semaphore.
DEATHS.
AUSTIN.—On the 10th December, at Blackheath,
N.S.W., Reginald Young, fourth son of Edward
Austin, Knightsbridge, late of Camden College,
and the University, Sydney, aged 28 years.
PFEIFFER.—On the 6th November, at his late
residence, Tarcowie, Berthold, the dearly-beloved
husband of Mary J. Pfeiffer, aged 50 years. Deeply
regretted by all.
CROPMAN.—On the 30th November, at the Burra
Hospital, of measles and pneumonia, Percy Frank,
eldest and beloved son of Frank and Sarah Crop-
man, of Warcowie, aged 17 years and 4 months.

TESTER.—On the 10th December, at Kangarilla,
Maria, the dearly beloved wife of D. Tester, and
the fifth daughter of the late T. and E. S. Wright,
of Clarendon, aged 50 years. To die is gain.
IN MEMORIAM.
NEWBOLD.—In loving memory of Thomas B.
Newbold, who died at Port Pirie, December 12,
1894.—Inserted by his loving wife and daughter.
OGILVIE.—In sad but loving memory of Wil-
liam Hedley Blair, of the 4th I.B.C., South Aus-
tralia, died at Pretoria, South Africa, December
12, 1901, aged 21 years 8 months.
Could I have been there in the hour of death,
To catch the last sigh of your parting breath.
One last faint whisper I might have heard,
And breathed in your ear, one parting word.
A precious one from us is gone;
A voice we loved is stilted;.
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled.

OGILVIE.—In sad but loving memory of Trooper
William Hedley Blair Ogilvie, 4th Contingent,
who died at Pretoria (enteric fever) on the 12th
December, 1901. "With Christ, which is far bet-
ter."—Inserted by his mother, brothers, and sis-
ters.
CLARK.—In loving memory of Ernest Leslie,
dearly-beloved son of S. M. and the late Robert
Clark, accidentally lost his life at Croydon Sta-
tion, December 12, 1891, in his 21st year. At
rest.—Inserted by his loving mother.
