ATTEMPTED MURDER.
FRUSTRATED BY LOYALISTS.
London, November 26.
An attempt to murder a British commandant
is reported from Carnarvon, a town in
Cape Colony, about 90 miles from Victoria
West-road railway-station.
The attempt was frustrated by a
body of Cape loyalists, and at an indigna-
tion meeting subsequently held a reward
was offered for the arrest of the criminal.
