FALL OF 180 FEET
DOWN CLIFF
Narrow Escape For
Motor Cyclist
Ross Morgan, 17, of Prospect
road, Prospect, had a narrow escape
from death when he fell with his
motor cycle outfit about 180 feet
down a cliff in the Torrens Gorse
yesterday morning.
With a party of other motorists
going on a camping trip, Morgan
was riding his cycle up the Gorge
road. Rounding a sharp bend,
about a mile above Uie Edge Vale
tearooms, the outfit got out of con
trol ran through the fence, and
fell with him down the gully.
Other members of the party found
Morgan unconscious
Officers with a South Australian
Ambulance had difficulty in carry
ing the youth up to the road on a
stretcher. He recovered conscious
ness as he was being put into tbe
ambulance.
Morgan was admitted to Uie
Royal Adelaide Hospital with a
broken collarbone, concussion and
scalp and other lacerations.
