NEW HOSPITAL
INSPECTED
PINJARRA, Jan. 15: An inspec
tion of the new Pinjarra Hospital
was made by the Premier
(Mr. McLarty), the Minister for
Works (Mr. Brand) and the Com
missioner for Main Roads (Mr.
J. W. Young today. The inspec
tion was made before the party
left for Mandurab, where with
members of the Mandurah Road
Board an inspection was made of
the bridge and Government jetty.
The hospital, originally sche
duled to be completed in two
years, is expected to be finished
early in 1952. Portion of the
building has already been tiled.
VACANCY FILLED: An extra
ordinary election was held on
Saturday by the Woodanilling
Road Board to fill a vacancy in
the west ward membership. J.
Dinwoodle. with 53 votes, won the
election from K. Beeck (25). In
all 82 votes were cast, four of
which were informal.
