TRADERS' PERMITS.
Rationed Goods Lost in Transit
M?NEBOURNE, Sept 30.-Permits
to traders to cover coupon values of
all rationed goods lost, pillaged, dam
aged or destroyed in transit or in a
warehouse will be issued so that the
goods can be replaced. This was
stated today by omcials of the
Rationing Commission.
Issues will be subject to the fol
lowing conditions: Where rationed
goods are lost, pillaged or destroyed
in transit each application for a
permit must be supported by a certi
ficate from the shipping company.
railway department, carrier or in
surance company supporting the
claim.
Permits to replace stocks will not
be granted If the goods were pilfered.
Applications should be supported
by a list of the articles affected and
by a certificate from an insurance
company or carrier that the list of
articles corresponds with the list on
which the insurance claim was paid.
All applications should be sup
ported by a statutory declaration'
from the applicant.
