Mt. Barker Hills Premier
In the grand final of the Mount Lofty
Association on Saturday, Mount Barker de-<*>
feated Ashton by five points.
The final scores were: —
Mount Barker. 5.13 (43 points); Ashton,
5.8 (38 points).
Goalkickers: —Mount Barker — Slade <2).
Thomas (2), end. Tunney. Ashton — P.
Barnetit (2), K. Jennings, L. Jennings, end
B. Makings.
Best players:—Mount Baiter — Duffiekl,
L. Thompson, and Monks. Asnton — B.
Lovlbond, H. Jennings, and B. Jennings.
At the end or the match, a cup, given by
S. Jaffer, captain of South Adelaide, lor
toe most effective player in the match was
awarded to B. Lovibond. of Ashton.
Barossa and Light.—Angaston won the
anal a; Tenunda, but lost It -on a protest
that was unanimously upheld by delegates
at a special meeting at Greenock. Ree
ling protested on the grounds that An
gaston had played T. Christie in the final
match, contrary to the rules, Freellng
alleged that Christie had played In a
match In the city without first having se
cured the necessary permission from the
association. This action rendered *n? in
eligible lor the final. Angaston's case was
put before the meeting by Messrs. F.
Holmes and C. Spring. Mr. J. A. Craig
presided, with Mr. M. G. Schluter as secre
tary, and delegates were Messrs. E. Helnicke
and K. Murphy (Freelmg), C. Branson and
E. Kotz (Kapunda), B. Doexlng and E. E.
Starlck (Tanunda). in consequence or the
decision, Angaston's match against Free
ling (challengers) was struck out.
Upper Murray. B Grade.—The grand fine!
resulted:—Centrals. 7.13; Cobdogla, 3.7.

Murray lands.—The second semi-final,
played et Karoonda. resulted In an easy
win for Marama with the scores 11.6—3.5.
Halo. XeU during the whole of the match,

were weakened by the absence of good
Payers, but Marama. fielded a strong
eighteen. The game was In the charge

played at Gladstone on Saturday. Bain
continued throughout. Georgetown, sy
