AUNURA SUPREME
By winning tho Moana Plate, alT
though by only a narrow margin ¿rom
Agathoclos, Alinura proved that she
is not only the best three-year-old in
the State, but tho best South. Aus-
tralian ,three-year-old of all time.
lt was expected that tho race would
bo a match between Royal Rest and
Alinura, but^this was not so.
Coming into tho straight Alinuru
ran up .to ? the pacemakers, andr ab
Royal Rest had dropped back .to last
it appeared as though she would go
on to an easy victory, but Agathoclos
hung on remarkably well and Alinura
had to ? be ridden right out to ; win.
ttoyal Rest struggled into third place.
Alinura'g win was a tribute'to
¡ter trainer, H. Jenkins, who has
kept her in first-claaB condition for
months. She showed to-day that
she thrives on racing. .
